Important Trailering Tips for HOT Weather
- Always check tire inflation in all tires, including your spare, while still cool. Tires should be inflated to the maximum PSI shown on the side of the tire.
- Open all trailer vents to provide adequate air circulation in the trailer. Drop down windows may be open if they have safety bar grills such as in the Cimarron Trailer to protect your horse from serious eye or head injuries from flying debris.
- Carry 2-3 gallons of water per horse and offer it to them when you fuel the truck or grab a bite to eat.
- Try to avoid traveling during the hottest part of the day.
